Oh people in the army camp ! Oh people in the army camp ! The vel is in the hand of the thudipparai player. The shield is in the hand of the Paanan who plays the yaazh. Where is the leader of these weapons ? He is in between the dead bodies in the battle field. His garland is drying. His chest is pierced by the enemy's vel. The blood that comes from his chest makes the floor muddy. This news was announced to the king. The poets praised him saying that he had given a waste land as a gift to a poet who came with his relatives as he had already given all the fertile lands to others. On hearing this , the king who never bend his head to others bent his head.

Oh king ! Give him first and then you drink the toddy because his father's father died for your father's father. He is also a strong warrior who can fight bravely.
